VerbaSkill does not require an account or personal registration. We collect only the following information:

• Send daily push notifications at your preferred time
• Store your saved/favorited words
• Maintain and improve app performance

3.2 Advertising

• Personalized Ads: We use your selected industry and specialization to show advertisements that are relevant to professionals in your field. For example, if you select "Technology > Software Development," you may see ads for developer tools, tech conferences, or coding courses.
• Ad Performance: We track whether ads are viewed or clicked (in aggregate) to understand what content is useful and to report to advertising partners.
• No Behavioral Tracking: We do not track your activity outside VerbaSkill or build behavioral profiles based on browsing history.

3.3 What We Share with Advertising Partners

When displaying ads, we may share the following with advertising partners:

• Your industry category (e.g., "Finance & Banking")
• Your specialization (e.g., "Investment Banking")
• General device type (mobile)
• Country/region (derived from timezone, not precise location)

We do NOT share: Your device ID, notification token, or any information that could personally identify you.

4. Your Choices and Controls

4.1 Opt Out of Personalized Ads

You can disable personalized advertising at any time:

• Go to Settings → Privacy → Personalized Ads → Off
• You will still see ads, but they will be generic rather than tailored to your industry

4.2 Other Controls

• Disable Notifications: Turn off daily word notifications in app settings
• Change Preferences: Update your industry or specialization anytime
• Clear Saved Words: Delete your saved vocabulary list
• Reset App: Clear all data and start fresh
• Request Data Deletion: Contact us to delete server-side data

• Regular security monitoring and updates
• No storage of sensitive personal information

7. Data Retention

• Active Users: Data retained while you use the app
• Inactive Users: Server-side data deleted after 12 months of inactivity
• Ad Interaction Data: Aggregated and anonymized after 90 days
• Upon App Deletion: Local data removed immediately; server data cleaned within 30 days

8. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), we process your data under the following legal bases:

Do Not Sell or Share My Information: While we share industry/specialization data with advertising partners, you can opt out by disabling personalized ads in Settings. We do not sell data that directly identifies you.

10. Children's Privacy

VerbaSkill is designed for professionals and is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately for deletion.

11. International Data Transfers

VerbaSkill operates globally. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international transfers, including standard contractual clauses where required.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Significant changes will be communicated through:

• Updated "Effective Date" at the top
• Prominent notice in the app for material changes

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
